AFL Cape York House

The award winning AFL Cape York House, is an example of what can be achieved when HPS brings together the expertise that it has from all facets of the business. The project was a complete design and construct job, where most trades on site were performed by and managed by the HPS Contractors team.

HPS Contractors services provided in conjunction with this project include: Construction & Project Management | Sheetmetal | Plumbing | Roofing | Glazing | Joinery

The project encompassed a number of buildings including but not limited to: an onsite managers residence, a main facilities building for kitchen, dining and recreation, 2 separate multi-story accommodation blocks, encompassing 48 rooms, external walkways, car parks and recreational areas.

One of the key outcomes of the project at AFL Cape York House was the contribution of in excess of 7,700 hours of Indigenous Employment Policy (IEP) hours, made up of apprentices, trainees and Indigenous employment. Of this HPS Contractors are particularly proud.

HPS Contractors received recognition for their efforts in bringing the project to fruition by being awarded the Master Builders State Award for Sporting & Community Service Facility up to $5 million.
